Roads AI roadmap, a look into 2023
Upon closing 2022 and with 2023 ahead of us we are full of ambition. To celebrate the success of Roads AI and give you a glimpse of the future we have developed a roadmap for 2023.
Let’s start with a fun fact:
In 2022 we have been permanently monitoring the quality of over 2000 kilometres of roads.
In 2022, two important features were introduced that we believe will greatly improve the user experience and provide more accurate data for road maintenance professionals.
First, in Q2 2022, we introduced the online viewer for a better user experience. This allows users to view and analyze road data from anywhere without needing additional software. We believe this will be a game-changer for road maintenance professionals who are often on the go and need quick access to data.
Second, in Q4 2022, we introduced the IRI standard for measurement and reporting in our model. This allows users to easily interpret the data collected by our tool and make informed decisions about road maintenance.
In 2023, we have even more exciting developments planned.
- First, in Q1 2023, we will introduce automatic road surface detection. This will allow our tool to identify different types of road surfaces and provide more accurate data for road maintenance professionals.
- Second, in Q2 2023, we will combine visual data with our road monitoring model. This will allow users to see what is happening on the ground and make more informed decisions about road maintenance.
- Finally, in Q4 2023, we will be introducing road quality forecasting and alerts for our users. This will allow forecasting of the evolution of the road quality and alert users when a road segment needs special attention, allowing them to detect situations where road deterioration is going faster than expected.
We are convinced these new features will significantly improve the user experience and help road maintenance professionals make informed decisions about road maintenance.
We wish all of you the best for 2023 and beyond!
